The weather forecasters were calling for heat. It was already 80 when the sirens sounded at 10:30 and the VFW honor guard began processing down 3rd St. towards downtown Ishpeming.
That didn’t stop the citizens of Ishpeming, Negaunee, and Westwood from showing up, and the streets were lined with people from the bottom of 3rd all the way through the end of Division St., where the altered parade route ended this year.

The many firetrucks, police cars, and floats made this year’s parade another one for the books. Thanks to all who participated, and to the fantastic crowd for once again showing that NCB pride.
