The weather cooperated in the best way tonight, with cloudy skies and no wind, so the band was able to see their music and the director at the same time while keeping fairly comfortable.
Director Brandon Nelson put together another wonderful program, with pieces ranging from a John Williams tribute “Out Of This World” to Sousa’s “Hands Across the Sea”.
The crowd at the Negaunee Performing Arts Facility stand for the National Anthem, sung by Gerry Anderson, and sit attentively as the band plays.
Dave Perry wowed the crowd with his solo on “Lullaby of Birdland”, and the band was fortunate to play one of Brandon Nelson’s own compositions, “Glory of the North Country”.
