The morning of July 2 dawned a cool 48 degrees, but for those who don the woolen wrappings of a marching uniform, it was perfect.
The Negaunee City Band took to the streets in the Ishpeming 4th of July Parade for the first time since the pandemic started, and by parade time it was a beautiful 65 and the streets were lined four people deep along third.

The view from the top of third street in Ishpeming, about twenty minutes before the parade started.

This is not a gathering of blue birds, but the milling about of a band without a beat to march to.

The Parade is about to start!

On the March!
